“Place conspires with the artist. We are surrounded by our own story, we live and move in it. It is through place that we put out roots.” - Eudora Welty
Virginia probably ought to be more noted for its sycamores. I know I pass one nearly every day and nearly every day I think about how much it defines the area around it.
ReplyDeleteI agree, there are lots of sycamores around, and they are one of my favorite trees, particularly in the fall and winter.
