Fireplug

Port Gibson, Mississippi

Pitchers and catchers will start reporting for spring training in a few days but spring and the opening day of baseball season still seems very far off.  I picture players tossing the ball around in sunshine, shirt-sleeves and balmy air, but cold weather has pushed so far south this year that training camps may be more winter than spring.

Close to home, the snow is gone and the ice is melting off the lake. Canada geese gather at the edge of the water to discuss the situation. It's time to start thinking about spring.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading Photography In Place.
