Quinque, Virginia
The Quinque Post Office shares the building with the funeral home, prompting my wife to quip, "You can't take it with you but you can mail it on ahead."
Thanks for reading Photography In Place and have a great weekend.

Love the saying.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. I have several with my shadow and they don't feel right to me. But when viewing other photographer shadows I always get a smile. Must be the familiarity factor? Sneak one in every once in a while Edd.
ReplyDeleteRobert, I know what you mean about the shadow--I usually avoid it too but this was taken right before sunset and there just weren't many places to stand. Sometimes you take what you get, I guess.
ReplyDeleteLove her quote, these little PO's are going by the wayside. When I lived in upstate NY back in the
ReplyDelete70's our PO was connected to a drug store and the Pharmicist was the Post Master.
Don, I understand that the Postal Service has plans to close down some of these smaller post offices and I would guess that Quinque would be a candidate for that.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of pharmacist/postmaster.
Nice view,,,The photographer has great imaginary preparedness.Looks pretty good....
ReplyDeleteWow. This may be the most perfect concept I've ever seen on this site.
ReplyDeleteAwesome quotes. Places conspire with the artist and each had a role to be played. Nice photo by the way.
