“Place conspires with the artist. We are surrounded by our own story, we live and move in it.
It is through place that we put out roots.” - Eudora Welty
Was just visiting relatives in Barboursville last week, in fact! And YES, the mountains are exquisite in the winter.
Hi Dave, nice to hear from you. Assuming you were in Barboursville VA., (and not Barboursville WV) you were just a few miles from where I live, and from where this picture was taken.I look forward to reading Appalachian History in the coming year and wish you and yours the best for the New Year.
The mountains are nice any time of year, you are fortunate to live so close to them. Nice composition Edd.
Robert, yes I love living near the mountains and am fortunate in that regard. Hope all is well with you and that you have a great new year.
Oh, I do enjoy the Blue Ridge! One of the main reasons I still live in Virginia.
You and me both----!
